Katherine Very, VMD

Veterinarian

Dr. Katherine Very was born and raised outside of Pittsburgh, PA, and like many others, dreamed of being a veterinarian since she was a little girl. She spent many hours working as a kennel assistant and small animal veterinary assistant prior to attending the Pennsylvania State University (We Are!) for her undergraduate degree, and later earned a master's degree in Pathobiology. From there she went on to receive her VMD from the University of Pennsylvania focusing on mixed animal practice with an interest in population medicine. After veterinary school, she spent two years in the Midwest working with swine operations to utilize her background in epidemiology and population medicine.

In 2019 Dr. Very decided to move back to the East Coast with her husband to start their family and get back to her roots in small animal medicine. They fell in love with central Maryland and all that the area has to offer. She is so happy to have found a great team at Country Veterinary Hospital! Dr. Very enjoys educating clients about preventative health and has a special interest in dentistry and internal medicine. She looks forward to working with you and your pets and providing quality care throughout the various stages of their lives.

In her spare time, Dr. Very enjoys cooking, trying out the local food and wine scene with friends, and spending time with her husband, young son and daughter. When her husband isn't actively trying to convert her to becoming a Bills fan (he's from Buffalo, NY) they enjoy spending their weekends together traveling with their kids or relaxing with their two rescue cats Louie and Albus Dumbledore.
